We all want to have a porcelain-like skin, with a uniform tone and free of imperfections and spots. Although there are certain pigmentations that some people might find nice like freckles and moles, there are other spots that nobody likes like cloth (melasma), sun spots and age spots.

Stains on the skin can come out for a variety of reasons. It can be due to inheritance, due to age, hormonal changes, damage caused by the sun or a poor diet. Ingredients such as cucumber, lemon juice, potato juice and parsley are popular remedies for fading skin blemishes.

Important - You should consult a dermatologist or a health professional before implementing any of these home remedies. Some ingredients can stain the skin with the sun. Do not expose yourself to the sun without having washed your skin thoroughly. For extra protection, sun block should be used.

Natural remedies to remove skin spots

    1. Hair spots

A recipe to reduce the appearance of hair stains is made with 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons milk, aloe vera pulp. Squeeze the lemon and mix with the milk. Apply it to the affected area and when it is dry put the pulp of aloe vera (the pulp of aloe vera must be clean, wash it before to remove the yellow liquid, popularly known as "iodine") and cover it with gauze. Leave it several hours and rinse with water.

    2. Mash of cassava to remove spots on the face

Put a cassava to boil until it softens. Make a cassava puree and apply it to the face. Effective to erase the cloth and the scars caused by acne.

    3. Skin spots in general

To remove stains from the face in general, crush the bulb of a Mayo onion (hymenocallis harrisiana) and smear it on the spots every night.

    4. Yogurt and carrot for skin spots

Yogurt and carrots are good home remedies to remove stains. Apply natural yogurt (without any flavor) on the spots of the face and put slices of carrot on top. Leave for a few minutes and rinse. Beauty recipes with yogurt

    5. Home remedy for sun spots

Make a thick mixture of lemon and sugar and apply it to the stain for twenty minutes and then wash. Do it only at night and wash your face well the next day before exposing yourself to the sun

    6. Mask of cucumber and parsley removes stains

Like lemon, parsley and cucumber also have bleaching effects. A recipe for removing skin blemishes can be made by mixing 5 tablespoons of liquefied cucumber, 5 tablespoons of crushed parsley, 5 tablespoons of sesame oil or wheat germ oil. It is put in a glass jar and closed tightly. It is kept in a dark place for a few days and then applied in compresses for 20 minutes to the spots. He washes his face. Beauty recipes with cucumber

    7. Apple cider vinegar

Apply a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar every day and leave for 20 minutes. Then put a layer of unflavored natural yogurt for about 20 minutes. Wash.

    8. Coconut cream

Another homemade ingredient that serves to remove stains on the skin is coconut cream. Apply it every night.

    9. Clay mask to remove skin spots

2 tablespoons of clay, half orange, the juice of a carrot. He mixes everything and puts it on his face. It is left until it dries and gets hard. Do it when there is nobody because you can not laugh or talk.

    10. Onion and vinegar

Onion is good for removing spots on the skin. Vinegar is a natural peel. Crush an onion and mix with vinegar. Apply directly on the stain and let it act for 15 minutes and wash. If you feel irritation wash immediately. Do not expose yourself to the sun after using this remedy.

    Lemon to remove skin spots

    Lemon juice

Lemon juice is the most popular remedy for fading skin blemishes. But you have to be careful not to expose yourself to the sun while using lemon juice because it can stain the skin more.

    Lemon juice with tomato juice

Tomato juice is very beneficial for the skin because of its vitamin A content. You can mix a spoonful of lemon juice and a spoonful of tomato juice, stir and apply with a cotton wool over the spots. Leave about 20 minutes and wash.

Important: Do not expose your skin to the sun after using a remedy with vitamin C (such as lemon)

General recommendations to avoid skin spots

    1. One of the best ways to prevent skin spots is to protect yourself from the sun. Do not expose yourself to the sun during the hours that are strongest and wear a hat or sunscreen when you have to expose. There is currently a controversy over sunscreens that they say can cause skin cancer.
    2. A healthy and balanced diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, should be taken. You can also include fish and nuts that are very good for the health of the skin.
    3. You should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day to keep the body and skin well hydrated.
    4. Before going to bed and after having washed your face you can put extra virgin olive oil cold pressed. Olive oil has powerful antioxidants that not only improve the health of the skin but over time can fade spots. To increase its effectiveness to remove stains you can add equal parts of rosehip seed oil, which is an ingredient used in commercial creams to remove stains.

Sensitive skin is often referred to as skin that becomes easily reddened or irritated by the use of cosmetics and other factors such as cold weather, sun and environmental pollution.

The medical definition of sensitive skin is somewhat different. Dermatologists believe that the skin is sensitive when it is so dry that it no longer adequately protects the nerve endings or when the person experiences protuberances on the skin, pustules or erosion. According to dermatologist Leslie Baumann, director of the Institute of Cosmetic Medicine at the University of Miami, there are four types of sensitive skin: acne, rosacea, burning and stinging and contact dermatitis (allergies and irritants).

Below I leave several tips for the care of sensitive skin.

    1. Do not use soap

Most soap contains fragrance, one of the worst allergens in cosmetic products. Also the soap is alkaline which can break the acid mantle of the skin causing the skin to dry and become sensitive. Skin cells need to stay hydrated to be healthy. Look for products to clean the skin like gels and lotions that say on the label hypoallergenic, free of formaldehyde and for sensitive skin. You can also try this Shea butter soap.

    2. Check your cosmetics

Old cosmetics can be contaminated and cause skin problems. If your cosmetics already have a lot of time, it is better to buy new ones. Mascara should be replaced every three months, bar cosmetics and lipstick every six months. To delineate the eyes and eyebrows use pencil instead of liquid. You must sharpen the pencil every time you use them.

Use silicone bases and powders instead of creams. For eye shadows, those with strong colors are very irritating; use those that come in natural tones. Do not use waterproof cosmetics because it is more difficult to remove them. Use cosmetics with less than 10 ingredients. Homemade make-up removers

    3. Avoid irritants

Next I leave a list of ingredients that you should avoid. If you have a product that contains any of them, it is better to throw it away.

    • Isopropyl alcohol (SD-40) and denatured alcohol (denatured alcohol): These alcohols dry the skin and are very irritating.
    • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate and Ammonium Laureth Sulfate: All these ingredients are strong detergents found in some cleansers and are extremely irritating to the skin.
    • Fragrance: Avoid products that say "fragrance" or "perfume" in the list of ingredients.
    • Dyes and dyes: It is usually the last ingredient on the list and is a common allergen.
    • Alpha Lipoic Acid: L-Ascorbic Acid and Ascorbic Acid: Although vitamin C can be very beneficial for normal skin, people with sensitive skin should avoid it.

    4. Test the products before using them

Whenever you are going to use new products you should do an allergy test before putting it on. To do this test you must put some of the product on the lower part of the wrist and wait 48 hours. At 48 hours you should see if there is redness, irritation or inflammation. If so, then you should not use the product. At the WebMD medical site, recommend putting a little of the product behind the ear and repeat for 5 days in a row. If there is no irritation, you can probably use the product without problems.

    5. Keep the skin hydrated

Dehydrated skin is more vulnerable to infections, allergies, sun damage and irritation. Moisturizing products help seal moisture and form a nourishing and protective shield on the skin. To keep your skin hydrated you not only need a moisturizer for sensitive skin but you should also drink enough water during the day. Coconut oil and olive oil are a good natural option to moisturize the skin.

    6. Take care of the food

To maintain radiant skin it is very important to have a healthy diet. Water and natural juices serve to keep your skin hydrated. It also includes fresh foods, fruits, and vegetables. Try fruits with a high vitamin A content such as mango and vegetables rich in vitamin C, such as peppers. Both vitamins are essential for beautiful skin.

Foods that can cause problems for sensitive skin are dairy products, gluten foods, artificial colors and other preservatives that come in canned or frozen foods and eggs.

    7. Protect from the sun

Sensitive skin is highly susceptible to damage caused by the sun, cold, heat and wind. You must apply sunscreen before leaving, even on cloudy days. Do not expose yourself intentionally to the sun to get a tan.

    8. Practice relaxation exercises

Stress can affect the health of the skin. When we are tense, the brain releases cortisol, the stress hormone. This hormone tells the sebaceous glands to increase the production of fat, which causes acne. Stress also dilates blood vessels, which causes redness on the face and aggravates rosacea. Another consequence of stress is that the skin becomes dehydrated and becomes more susceptible to damage. Every day, take about 20 minutes to relax. You can also try these home remedies for stress.

    9. Stop smoking

If you've been trying to quit smoking, here's another reason to quit. Smoking causes a narrowing of the blood vessels, including all those that supply nutrients and oxygen to the outer layers of the skin. Therefore, smoking prevents vitamin A and other skin nutrients from doing their job.

    10. Go to bed early and sleep 8 hours

We hear a lot that we should sleep 8 hours a day but it is also important to note that these 8 hours feed more to the body when they start early in the night. Sleeping from 9pm to 6am is not the same as staying up late and sleeping from 3 in the morning to 11 a day. Whenever you can, it is better to fall asleep at 9pm. The skin is repaired while you sleep so that lack of sleep prevents the natural healing process of the skin. This means that the skin becomes more prone to damage caused by external factors such as sun and cold.

In this article we show you how to care for oily skin, some very effective home remedies and healthy habits to regulate the production of fat in the skin and maintain it, at the same time, hydrated, nourished and full of vitality.

You may think that having oily skin is a disorder and, indeed, if the fat becomes infected and results in acne, it is. But think of the good side. The fat cells provide elasticity to the skin and support and help it to withstand much better the passage of time and wrinkles so ... Rejoice! It's just about keeping the production of fat at bay and keeping it from getting infected. For the rest ... Everything is advantages!

In this article we will show you some homemade remedies with the best natural products for the skin specially indicated for oily skin that, when used regularly, will help you to regulate the production of sebum. And we will also review some healthy life habits to keep in good condition, not only the skin, but the whole organism.

Vegetable and essential oils for oily skin

One of the reasons why the skin can become infected and produce excess fat is the continued use of certain industrial cosmetics that, although momentarily "hide" the symptoms, over time make them worse. The Dangers of Industrial Cosmetics affect not only the skin, but the entire organism. Most of the industrial creams are made from paraffin, a substance derived from the oil industry that is highly occlusive and that, according to many expert voices, is deposited in different parts of the body intoxicating it.

Vegetable and essential oils are a fabulous natural alternative to replace industrial creams. Maybe, at first, you think that an oil will increase the fat of your skin leaving an oily appearance, but ... Nothing is further from reality! These magnificent natural oils balance the production of fat, absorb quickly and stimulate the skin's natural defenses. Vegetable oils and essential oils are not the same. Each of them is obtained with different methods and their properties, as well as applications and conditions of use, are different and should be known.

If you want to know which are the most suitable to moisturize oily skin visit our article vegetable oils and essential oils for oily skin. And if you want to know how to make a mixture of several of them to make the application more effective, see our article how to make cosmetic mixtures with vegetable and essential oils.

    Fruitteraphy for oily skin

The fruits and vegetables available from the earth provide us with numerous nutrients, vitamins and minerals that make them excellent allies of the skin regulating their natural balance.

There are several ways to take advantage of the many virtues of fruit therapy. Either we eat them (especially vegetables in all the dishes of the day), or we apply them on the skin. In the topical application it is advisable to make homemade masks that incorporate the most indicated fruits to balance the fat. If you want to know the characteristics of the most suitable fruits for you, consult our article the best fruits and vegetables for the skin. And if you want a good example of how to use them by combining them with other natural ingredients in an effective way, visit our article how to make homemade and natural masks.

Other natural ingredients for oily skin

In addition to oils and fruit, our natural pantry features some fabulous natural ingredients to stimulate the skin's defenses and keep it full of life.

The properties and benefits of clay on the skin are many. In the case of oily or acneic skin we recommend that you use green clay. But yes, try to be powdered clay and not emulsified as they tend to sell industrial firms because, when they come ready to use, often carry chemical ingredients are not recommended and also the clay has lost many of its beneficial properties. The best way to use it is in the form of a mask, combining it with fruits and essential vegetable oils. Consult a concrete example to know how to do it in our homemade astringent mask for oily skin.

Another very practical and effective ingredient for oily or acneic skin is honey. This delicious delicacy made by bees has a very complex chemical composition whose elements help restore the skin and disinfect it in depth, thus preventing the appearance of the happy granites. In fact, it is one of the ingredients that should not be missing in our natural first aid kit for its ability to disinfect and regenerate wounds or burns.

We also propose that you make a natural cream for oily skin with specific oils that regulate the production of sebum and beeswax. Take a look at this video to learn how to do it. It is very easy and it will hardly take you a few minutes.

    Skin care

If, in addition to using natural products that stimulate the defenses of your skin, you follow a beauty routine with patience, care and dedication, you will see results sooner than you expect. If you have oily skin, we recommend you:

    • Once a day, in the morning, when you get up and before leaving home, apply neroli hydroxide in the form of a tonic and a mixture of vegetable and essential oils or a natural cream of beeswax. At night, we advise you to simply remove makeup with jojoba vegetable oil and clean the dirt afterwards, then rinse with water, without applying anything else, to let the skin rest.
    • Once a week, make a natural mask as we have indicated before and perform a session of beauty and skin nutrition. First, remove makeup, then apply neroli hydroxide in the form of a tonic, then the mask, and finally, moisten again with the hydrolate, apply your daily hydration product (oils or natural cream).
    • Once a month, perform a natural exfoliation. If you want to know how to do it visit our article home remedies to exfoliate the skin. After exfoliation, perform the treatment with mask, hydrolate and final moisturizer.

    Food and habits

It is not necessary to explain that, in reality, applying natural products on the skin (no matter how great they are) is useless when we do not take care of ourselves internally. The excess of fat in the skin and the appearance of acne have to do, in many occasions, with a deficient or inadequate feeding that generates toxicity in the organism that the skin must purify somewhere, in this case the skin.

To detoxify the body and with it the skin, we recommend you:
    • Drink plenty of water. The more hydrated the organism is, the easier it will be to get rid of some toxic substances. Take a look at the water needs in our body.
    • Healthy nutrition. Try to follow good eating habits that benefit the correct functioning of the whole body, such as reducing the consumption of meat and fat, eat plenty of cereals, legumes, fruits and vegetables and, above all, remove from the pantry all denatured industrial products that they possess infinity of alimentary additives and that they have lost their nutritional properties in the manufacturing processes. Consult how to develop a balanced and healthy diet and how to detoxify the body.
    • Do moderate exercise. Practicing moderate exercise such as walking or yoga offers magnificent results, not only in the health of your skin, but of your entire body.
    • Rest. Rest, like regular exercise, is essential to keep your defenses strong. Something that, without a doubt, will also be reflected in the skin.
These are just some guidelines you can follow to keep your skin healthy, but nature has infinite treasures, many still to be discovered. As always, our advice is that you try, experiment and search until you find the natural ingredients and habits that benefit you the most.

The fatty skin is characterized by an excess of sebum that results in a bright appearance, with dilated skin pores and the presence of inflammatory lesions, pimples and blackheads. Oily skin has an important genetic component and tends to occur more frequently during adolescence, due to the increase in general glandular activity (and therefore also in the sebaceous glands), but there are also habits that favor excess sebum in the complexion.

Oily skin is also quite sensitive, has a thick texture and tends to peeling in non-seborrheic areas, the presence of redness and irritations. As a main advantage, it is often said that the oily skin ages later, although the excessive production of sebum does not always mean that the skin is hydrated, so it is not necessary to do without hydration.

The main problem that has oily skin is acne, which is nothing more than the accumulation of fat under the pores of the skin clogged. The infection of pimples by bacteria can cause scars on the skin, and that is the great aesthetic problem of acne skin.

    Care of oily skin

    • The cleaning of oily skin is vital to combat excess sebum. To do this, use non-oily gels (that do not contain oils), purifying and that are not excessively alkaline, since they could stimulate microbial growth. It is best to wash the skin with warm water. In our parapharmacy you will find some gels for oily skin like Vichy Normaderm Cleansing Gel, La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Gel or Avene Clean AC Dermolimpiador (especially indicated for skins that follow aggressive treatments against acne).
    • The cleaning of the oily skin should be done, at least, twice a day: in the morning and at night. After cleaning the skin will be much more receptive to subsequent treatments.
    • To clean the pores well and remove impurities and blackheads, it is important to use cosmetics that in addition to cleaning the skin thoroughly fight against the bacterial origin to prevent infections. We recommend the treatment of La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo.
    • A facial tonic will help eliminate excess fat and prepare the skin for hydration. Our proposal: Vichy Normaderm Tonic Purifying Lotion (it is also non-comedogenic, that is, it does not obstruct the pores).
    • When the skin is going to be exposed to the sun, it is advisable to use a sunscreen suitable for oily skin, such as Avene Cleanance Solar.
    • There are also specific makeups that help control sebaceous production. An example, the colored Avene Cleanance emulsion.
    • The diet, with a diet rich in vegetables and fibers, is also important to regulate skin fat. Avoid fried and saturated fats and try to eat foods high in vitamin B2 and Omega 3 fatty acids.
    • Toxic habits such as smoking or alcohol intake always damage the appearance of the skin, whatever type of skin we have.
    • The correct hygiene of the hair also helps to keep the skin free of fat.
    • Avoid touching your face and do not manipulate pimples and blackheads. You can get them to become infected and have a scar.
    • Twice a week you can exfoliate the skin to better cleanse the pores and eliminate the toxins that accumulate inside. For this there are physical exfoliants (with skin drag to touch) or chemicals, which contain principles that help to eliminate the layer of dead skin cells from the most superficial. There are also masks that help remove excess sebum, such as the green clay of Lierac.
    • Oily skin may also be dehydrated, so we must not forget this step. The non-hydration of the skin can stimulate sebaceous overproduction, which would be counterproductive. Therefore, it is best to opt for special moisturizers for oily skin, oil-free creams and regulating emulsions of sebaceous production. Some proposals: the Vichy Normaderm moisturizing treatment, the Avene Cleanance regulatory emulsion, the La Roche Posay Effaclar anti-relapse treatment, or, for local outbreaks, the La Roche Posay Effaclar AC corrector, the Avene Clean Soothing Cream A.C. (to moisturize and calm the skins subjected to treatments against severe acne) or Vichy Normaderm Night (which regulates the hyperactivity of the pores while you sleep).

Grains are the unwanted guests of our face, always appearing at the least indicated time to cause us discomfort and eclipse part of our appeal. But saying goodbye to them forever, or at least reducing their frequent appearance is possible, only requires some care and attention. We give you good advice so you can discover how to permanently remove the pimples from your face and be able to wear a face that is always perfect and free of impurities.

Causes of the appearance of pimples on the face

By removing the cases of medium or severe acne that require medical attention, to begin eliminating the appearance of pimples it is necessary to know what causes them. Thus, among the most common causes of pimples on the face we find the following:

    • An inadequate diet
    • Hormonal imbalances
    • Environmental changes
    • Stress and nerves
    • Poor facial hygiene and pore obstruction
    • Product use unsuitable to skin type

Below we will explain different ways to keep granites away from your face. With these methods you can both eliminate them and help prevent their appearance.

    Facial Cleansing

You should start by improving the skin care of your face. Perform a good facial daily is essential to keep our face in good condition. Do not forget to always choose the right products for your skin type, in this way you will benefit from its properties instead of damaging your complexion. Sulfur soap is a good ally to remove pimples from the face if your skin is oily, in case it is dry you should use another with moisturizing properties such as honey soap, calendula or olive oil.

Exfoliate the skin of the face

Exfoliate your face with a special product for the skin of this area at least once a week is essential to remove the pimples from your face and prevent their appearance. The exfoliation eliminates the dead cells that accumulate in the skin, favoring its cleaning and improving its appearance.

    Homemade masks for facial grains

Among the best home remedies to remove pimples from the face we find that face masks with natural products are really effective and easy to make. For example, one of the best products is honey, because thanks to its antiseptic and moisturizing power it helps regulate our skin and fight the bacteria that cause granites. Go ahead and try one of these two recipes:

    Honey and lemon

Another great ingredient to treat the impurities of the face is lemon, since it is astringent, helps to eliminate fat, provides vitamins and unifies the tone of the dermis. So, mix half a glass of lemon juice with 4 tablespoons of honey and make a homogeneous paste to spread it over your face or the most affected parts. Let it act for 20-30 minutes and remove it with plenty of cold and warm water. It is recommended that you do it 2 or 3 times a week for as long as you need to get the best results.

    Honey and cinnamon

This combination will help to reduce the inflammation of the face and will give it a deep hydration while eliminating bacterial agents. To make this mask you only have to mix a little honey and cinnamon until it is a fairly homogeneous paste, wash your face and apply the mixture on the parts most affected by the pimples before going to sleep. The next morning remove all the remains of the mask with abundant cold water. You can do this treatment 2 times a week and, if you do not want to sleep with this treatment on your face, you can let it act for at least half an hour before removing it. You will notice that little by little the imperfections are disappearing and from the first moment your skin is much more hydrated and radiant.

    Exercise

One of the reasons why the grains appear is thanks to the clogging of the pores, which are clogged with the dirt and grease that our skin produces. Exercising and sweating is one of the best ways to keep pores clean, but it is also convenient to establish a routine so that, frequently, you close the open pores and decrease the chances of pimples appearing.

    Healthy food

The feeding is fundamental to avoid that the grains continue appearing in your face. Take into account that an unbalanced diet, full of junk food, fats and sugar affects our skin and often results in the appearance of grains, so it is important to reduce fat in our meals, as well as sugars, and increase the intake of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C and antioxidants that benefit our skin.

    Products for facial skin
