What is the difference between the corrector and the illuminator?

In this entry you will be able to understand the difference between corrector and illuminator and to know for what, how and where they should be applied.
# Concealer
We started with the concealer. It is a product that is basically used to cover imperfections or what you do not want to see from your face. You can cover dark circles but also scars, grains or blemishes. The concealer is the perfect solution to easily disguise the small stains and imperfections and to unify the tone of the skin.
How is the corrector applied?
It is applied with a brush of stiffer bristles, with a sponge or with the fingertips. With little touches not to drag the product.
The correct form of application to cover dark circles is following the shape of an inverted triangle and then fade well the contours to integrate with the color of your skin.

When to use the concealer?
Not all people need corrector, nor at all times it is necessary to apply the corrector. Maybe you do not need it normally but it is convenient to have it in your dresser for possible unforeseen 😉 such as an annoying granite.
In my case I use it always because I have very dark circles and without corrector my eyes look very deep and sad. It is one of my essential products.

# Illuminator
The illuminator is used to the contrary, to highlight and give light to some areas of your face. With the illuminator you add a touch of luminosity to your cheekbones, chin, under the arch of the eyebrow... in those areas that want to give a touch of natural light.
In general, the illuminator serves to illuminate, highlight or profile.
How is the illuminator applied?
The illuminator is applied with small touches in the areas that you are going to highlight and then blunt with a brush, a sponge or the fingertips.
Where is the illuminator applied?
Fundamental to apply on cheekbones to achieve a fresh and radiant face.
But you should not use it on the bags under the eyes or dark circles, you would draw attention to them. In this case you should use it in the dark area that is just below the swollen area to lift it optically.
If you want to open your eyes put a point of light in the tear and under the arch of the eyebrows. If you want to expand your front gives a touch in the center. If you want to profile the face apply a touch on the chin. To tune the nose apply a line on it and then blurs. To highlight the lips, a touch on the upper lip. You can also apply it on the shoulders and the escoste.
Use the illuminator to highlight the most beautiful areas of your face.
What is the order of application?
I always apply it at the end of the makeup to give the touch of light where it is needed.
You can use it alone or on the basis of makeup and you could retouch during the day.
When to use the illuminator?
It suits you both for a day look and for a night look. Illuminators have particles that attract light. It is a complement to your makeup products to achieve a younger, rested and full of life.
You can find the illuminator in powder, pencil, bar or fluids.
Extra tip: apply the illuminating pencil over the eyebrows in the form of an arc and then blurs to make them look more defined 🙂
Finally, remember to always look for products that do not dry the skin, which have been dermatologically tested against skin irritations and allergies, non-comedogenic, suitable for sensitive and oil-free skins. That way you will not have any unpleasant surprises.
